Reflections and Looking Forward

December 30, 2022

Mark Hedinger

As we find ourselves at the end of another year, we reflect upon all that we have accomplished this year. Here are some of the highlights of 2022:

  • 308 people were equipped to share the Gospel in a new culture or language.

  • We held international trainings in Mexico, Tanzania, Chile, and across the United States.

  • We saw a 90% increase in regular financial partnership.

  • We created courses, developed training in multiple languages, and increased our audience.

  • Most importantly, we saw God at work in so many facets of our lives, business, and ministry.

We are so thankful. We are thankful to God for his continued provision, guidance, mercy, and love. We are thankful to you for partnering with us in the ways that you are able. We are thankful to our team and board for their hard work this year. We are thankful for our course attendees, partner churches, and other groups who have participated in our training.

As we look ahead to 2023, there is much on the horizon. We have plans for new courses, new translations, new books, and international opportunities. We are excited to continue growing the global church, one relationship at a time.

In the new year, we will focus on the word “polycentric.” We are seeing missions expand around the world as people are going “from everywhere to everywhere.” It’s easy to assume that most missions efforts originate in the United States. We are truly seeing a shift where all nations are going to all nations to share the good news of the gospel.

We will continue to be part of this goal as we prepare people from everywhere to interact with others everywhere and build successful relationships across cultures. You can join us! Through prayer, financial gifts, and sharing about our ministry, you can take an active role in the global church.

Pray for our staff as we transition into new roles and re-shape current roles. Pray for our board as they guide and plan. Pray for our financial situation, that we would see an increase in monthly giving. Most importantly, pray that we would be successful in training people to build relationships across cultures and ultimately share the gospel in new places.

If you feel called to give, you can do so here. A monthly gift goes a long way towards sharing the gospel around the world. We thank you for your support during our Match 2022 campaign and we celebrate raising over $6,000 that will be matched!

We are expanding our CultureBound+ courses, which are short, inexpensive, and available to everyone. Would you consider taking one of these courses? Join us for a group session and learn the foundations of culture and language. Share about our courses and training opportunities with your friends, co-workers, and church. Getting the word out about CultureBound is an easy way you can partner with us!

We thank you again for a wonderful year and are excited to ring in 2023. Don’t hesitate to reach out to our team with any questions, suggestions, or inquiries. Happy New Year!
